Welcome to
Classical Baby Prams
This is my collection past and present, of my beautiful Coach Built Prams.
My love of Coach Built Prams, I suppose, goes back to my childhood. As a little girl I can distinctly remember my younger brother and sister being pushed in a large Pram, I can remember holding onto the handle, as my Mum pushed them, and was fascinated by the huge wheels and the deep body.
I always loved my dolls and my prams and I can remember being 10 years old and Santa brought me my first Silver Cross Coach Built Pram. She had a green hood and apron, white body and a rose on the side. In 1967 she was a costly sum!!!
When my first child was born in 1983 my Mum wanted me to have the large Coach Built Pram, but due to lack of space, we decided on the Silver Cross Tenby. She was all brown with all the frills to match in pink. I certainly got my monies worth, as my daughter was in it until she was 2 years old.
Believe it or not I have only been collecting prams for just over 2 years and I started with dolls prams, but as I live in a large house (and convincing Husband) I started to collect the bigger babies Prams. I am a HUGE fan of the 1950’s/60’s Vintage Prams. All my Prams have to have the large wheels and deep bodies.
Most of the Prams you are about to view, are from my own collection, and some Dear Friends of mine have given me permission to display their beauties too!
My other Prammie Friends and myself, believe these beautiful prams should be preserved for future generations, as they’re items of great British craftmanship, as each individual pram was made by one person.
Please enjoy viewing my site and if you would like to send me your pictures, questions or comments please feel free to do so........
