This a pram, made in Paris, between 1860 and 1915. We are still trying to date her, I bought her a few weeks ago and she had been restored a few years back.
La sociable, appears on a lot of her fixings, and, was part of Jack Hampshire’s famous collection., she is clearly marked underneath.
She has quite a large write up in Jacks wonderful book, Prams, Mailcarts and Bassinets.....on page 70!!! if you want a quick read.
My husband likes this pram and she proudly stands in our conservatory.
Her colourway is dark blue and black, the chassis is in a nice cream colour, the tyres are all original,...cant see today’s shopping trolley prams lasting as long. Can you???
