Past and Present
This page is just a few of the prams, I have had and moved on, as I said earlier I started with the dolly prams and the top picture is lovely little twin carol? I think. All original and very pretty,I sold her to a friend, and we still keep in touch, she has just purchased her first vintage
baby pram, a lovely Osnath London...
The second is the super Osnath Conway, on a detachable body, 1950,s, she was sold to a lady who had this particular model for her children!!, so is no longer in my collection. She has beautiful coachlines as you can see,and the colour of white, with navy blue hood and apron, on the smaller wheels this time., Notice the typical Osnath handle.
Last picture is the stately Wilson Mulliner, which I still have, all the provenance came with her, 1968, made with a double coachline, for that year. The family who bought her paid an extra 50 shillings, for the marble handle!! Has had two babies in it, and i have copies of those photos, along with the original receipt, vintage quilt cover and pillowcase she looks as good today as she did then!!!
London Baby Coach, the company made fine bespoke prams, of elegance, wooden body, beautiful coachlines, think this is called the super crescent?,Vibrant blue hood and apron, the interior is in pristine condition, and is now being used for a grandchild, and has a new owner, she stands on 22x 18 wheels, with the extended footwell.
This is the wonderful Manton Arundel 1965,
She was looking a little sorry when I got her, the chromework was very tired, and I spent many weeks cleaning wheels!!! The chassis was sand blsted and powder coated, in the original black...she now looks stunning, a very tall pram, with huge 24 x 18 wheels, wooden handle.., she also has a new home.
This is the Marmet model m96..1939, on original Sorbo tyres, on the cradle system, common on the prams of the 30s.wooden body, huge hood, a very voluptuous pram!!! She is no longer in my collection.
Wilson Silverdawne, 1960/65. Lovely body shape on this pram, with the navy coachlines, this was known as the b model as she is on 22 x 18s, the a model being on the 24s..I love the handles on the Wilson prams, so chunky!!Again no longer mine.
Marmet Gondola 1967...
